Effective teachers’ personality in strengthening character education

<span lang="EN-US">Personality is a silent sedentary nature, which affects the attitudes and behavior of every individual. For teacher, personality will appear as hidden curriculum, how to teach educate. This phenomenological research aimed interpret characteristics effective teachers’ in strengthening character education. The participants this study were 17 elementary, secondary, high school teachers from nine districts Indonesia. participant was selected using purposive sampling technique (teachers who have more than 10 years teaching experience). Data collection carried out by interview. Qualitative data analysis performed ATLAS.ti software. stages coding, classification, interpretation. found 12 that are education, include able behave friends, be roles model, understand lessons, discipline, respectful students, treat students impartially terms sanctions, patient, relaxed, willing pursue life-long learning, master skill educating character, not known fierce teachers, perceived joyful teachers. teacher can provide understanding improvement education schools.</span>
